Job Summary

The Clinical Product Analyst supports product and transformation initiatives across core clinical operations domains—including Utilization Management (UM), Care Management (CM), Quality, and Population Health. This role partners closely with Product Managers, clinical stakeholders, and technology teams to translate operational needs into clear business requirements, well‑defined workflows, and actionable product artifacts.

Operating at the intersection of clinical operations, product delivery, and process improvement, the Clinical Product Analyst plays a critical role in documenting current‑state processes, identifying gaps, supporting agile delivery execution, and ensuring solutions are ready for successful adoption. The role is highly collaborative, detail‑oriented, and impact‑focused—supporting both technology implementations and non‑technical operational transformations.

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST

Key Responsibilities

1. Product & Transformation Support

• Support product or transformation programs across clinical operations domains, including utilization management, care management, quality, and population health.

• Partner with Product Managers to translate clinical and operational needs into clear, actionable product and process requirements.

• Support initiatives spanning system implementations, workflow redesign, automation, and operational optimization.

2. Requirements & Process Analysis

• Document current‑state workflows and business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and observation.

• Conduct gap analyses between current‑state operations and future‑state product or process designs.

• Develop process maps, swim lanes, and workflow diagrams to support solution design and decision‑making.

• Identify operational risks, dependencies, and change impacts associated with proposed solutions.

3. Agile Delivery & Backlog Support

• Maintain product backlogs, user story libraries, and acceptance criteria in partnership with Product Managers.

• Support sprint planning, refinement, and tracking activities using agile tools and frameworks.

• Maintain sprint tracking boards, documentation repositories, and delivery artifacts (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

4. Data Analysis & Insight Generation

• Analyze clinical and operational data to inform product decisions, prioritization, and process improvement recommendations

• Support basic data exploration and validation using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL

• Help translate data findings into clear insights for product, clinical, and operational stakeholders

5. Testing, Readiness & Adoption Support

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, including test case documentation, execution tracking, and defect triage.

• Facilitate stakeholder feedback loops during testing and pre‑go‑live phases.

• Support go‑live readiness activities, including training materials, process documentation, and transition planning.

• Assist with post‑go‑live issue tracking and stabilization support.

6. Communication & Documentation

• Draft product briefs, process improvement recommendations, and change impact assessments.

• Create clear, concise documentation suitable for both clinical and non‑clinical audiences.

• Support stakeholder communications related to scope, readiness, risks, and adoption considerations.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Health Administration, Business, Information Systems or Public Health
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience gathering business requirements to inform product design within a healthcare space
• Clinical product experience desired

Skills

• Business requirements documentation and stakeholder interviewing

• Process mapping and workflow documentation (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)

• Agile fundamentals (Scrum, Kanban); familiarity with sprint ceremonies and backlog management

• Experience with JIRA and Confluence or similar agile delivery tools

• Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation skills

• Basic data analysis skills (Excel, introductory SQL)

• Healthcare domain literacy, including familiarity with:• Claims data
• Utilization Management (UM)
• Care Management (CM).

• Quality programs (Stars, HEDIS)

• Change impact analysis and operational readiness support
