Full description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager based in India.
This is a high-ownership product role focused on domain registration platforms serving retail customers, resellers, and global registry partners. You will own initiatives across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through delivery and adoption. The role combines product strategy with hands-on domain operations, platform modernization, compliance, and partner management. You will translate regulatory and registry requirements into scalable product solutions while balancing customer and business needs. AI is an integral part of the working environment, with coding agents and AI tools used to research, prototype, analyze, and validate ideas. Success requires strong product judgment, technical curiosity, data fluency, and the ability to manage complex initiatives across distributed teams.

Accountabilities
- Own domain registration, renewal, transfer, and expiry experiences across retail and wholesale platforms, while driving platform consolidation and portfolio migration initiatives.
- Translate registry and regulatory requirements—including identity verification, KYC, data protection, and country-code TLD policies—into clear product requirements and deliver solutions within fixed external deadlines.
- Manage day-to-day domain operations, including registry pricing updates, TLD launches and sunsets, registrar credentials, and coordination with registry partners.
- Improve platforms and APIs used by reseller partners, ensuring requirements address the needs of sophisticated B2B2C and programmatic integrations.
- Conduct structured voice-of-customer discovery with retail users and reseller partners, using support trends, churn signals, and feedback to shape and prioritize the product roadmap.
- Partner with marketing teams on positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies for new domain offerings, including protection, security, aftermarket, and premium domains.
- Contribute to fraud prevention and abuse mitigation across purchasing and account-management journeys.
- Use AI coding agents and related tools to build prototypes, validate concepts, demonstrate product flows, and reduce uncertainty before committing engineering resources.
- Lead multiple initiatives simultaneously, maintaining alignment across stakeholders, engineering teams, partners, and other business functions.
- Establish clear ownership of platforms and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of product management experience, ideally working with platforms, marketplaces, APIs, transactional products, or similarly complex digital ecosystems.
- Demonstrated daily fluency with AI tools and coding agents, using them for research, analysis, experimentation, prototyping, and product development rather than solely for content generation.
- Ability to code and independently create prototypes or simple working applications to test ideas, demonstrate workflows, and answer product questions.
- Strong data fluency, with the ability to quantify opportunities, interpret relevant metrics, and use data to support prioritization decisions.
- Excellent requirements-writing skills, with the ability to produce precise documentation that engineering teams across different time zones can confidently execute against.
- Proven ability to manage several concurrent initiatives involving different stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines.
- Comfortable working in compliance-driven environments where legal, regulatory, and policy requirements influence product decisions and risks must be explicitly assessed.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and product judgment skills.
- Experience with domain industries, hosting, registrar or registry platforms is a plus.
- Experience with B2B2C or channel/reseller business models is desirable.
- Exposure to payments, fraud prevention, identity verification, or related products is advantageous.
Benefits
- Flexible work environment with options for remote, hybrid, or office-based work.
- Strong emphasis on work-life balance and sustainable ways of working.
- Inclusive and collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives and encourages employees to bring their authentic selves to work.
- Access to learning and development opportunities, mentoring, and opportunities to explore different areas of the business.
- Health insurance options designed to support employees.
- Education and certification sponsorship opportunities.
- Flexible leave options for personal time off.
- Opportunities to work on global products at significant scale and collaborate with international partners.
- Meaningful exposure to product strategy, AI-enabled product development, domain infrastructure, and emerging digital technologies.
