The Role 

Our client is seeking a VP, Business Analyst - Equities Technology.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global team, providing top-tier service to existing and prospective clients while expanding the business on a product and global level. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Global Equities initiatives by working with business and technology teams to deliver requirements, process improvements, testing, and successful project outcomes.

 

What you’ll do

  • Drive business analysis for Global Equities initiatives, translating business needs into clear requirements and functional specifications.
  • Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, and Technology stakeholders to gather, define, and prioritize requirements.
  • Document business processes, workflows, and requirements while identifying opportunities to support platform modernization.
  • Work closely with development and testing teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered throughout the SDLC.
  • Manage scope, priorities, acceptance criteria, test strategy, and UAT activities.
  • Build strong relationships across the global Equities business to drive effective cross-regional collaboration. 

 

What you bring 

  • 10+ years of Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience within Equities, Capital Markets, or Financial Technology.
  • Strong Equities domain knowledge, including products, lifecycle, risk metrics, and the ability to produce high-quality requirements documentation.
  • Experience delivering complex technology programmes across multiple business areas and global teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Experience defining test strategies, leading UAT/testing activities, and using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Degree-qualified with project management credentials (e.g., Prince2, PMP, Agile) and experience defining target-state architectures alongside technology and enterprise architects.
