Saturn has an opportunity for a full-time Junior/Intermediate Master Data Analyst for the accounting team, based in the Calgary, Alberta office. Reporting to the Team Lead, Master Data, the Master Data Analyst will be responsible for:
- Vendor set up, maintenance and inquiries.
- Validate all new requests, pertaining to the set up and maintenance of all master data (Cost Center, AFE, DOI, and Allocations) in Qbyte FM.
- Communicate updates to all departments through email and respond to all queries on master file maintenance.
- Assist the capital group with ensuring all AFEs are available when approved.
- Prepare journal entries and system entries, as necessary.
- Investigate and perform root cause analysis for master data related issues and interacting closely with related business units to determine the best solutions once the cause of an issue is identified.
- Drive continuous improvement of master data through systematic technical analysis.
- Monitor related controls at all relevant levels to ensure the integrity of master data.
- Provide ad-hoc duties and backup support for coworkers during vacation, leave, or absences.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 2-4 years of related Master Data Management / Core Maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Solid understanding of operations, capital, and joint venture accounting.
- Knowledge of company systems (Microsoft, Aucerna Execute, Prodview, Petrinex, Open Invoice) would be an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Qbyte FM
- Strong MS Excel knowledge, data analysis, and attention to detail skills are a must-have.
- Hard-working, willing to take on challenges, and takes initiative when it comes to completing all necessary tasks.
- Able to work in a team environment, as well as independently, in high-volume and fast-paced environments.
- Proficient with Microsoft products.
