Summary

 

Assist, oversee and coordinate the design and construction of Building Services.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Support the MEP Project Manager in coordinating consultants and contractors.
  • Manage assigned Building Services packages or workstreams within agreed project parameters.
  • Work within established project governance, approval and change-control procedures.
  • Review design submissions and provide recommendations to the MEP Project Manager.
  • Attend weekly consultant meetings during project design phases.
  • Coordinate the site execution to ensure that MEPF services are delivered in accordance with the client’s requirements and the respective design documents.
  • Maintain and design/project trackers, interface schedules, technical submission registers, action logs and defects records.
  • Prepare concise progress reports and highlight deviations requiring management action.
  • Attend weekly site meetings during the construction phase of the works.
  • Undertake periodic site inspections, necessary to identify and highlight any issues affecting the MEPF completion.
  • Review and comment on contractor submissions.
  • Highlight to the MEP Project Manager any issues requiring rectification by the contractor, as well as any items that are not in accordance with the design intent as expressed by the design documents.
  • Monitor programme, quality, cost and technical risks for assigned packages and escalate material issues.
  • Identify and analyse site issues relating to the MEPF design documents and propose/develop solutions to overcome as appropriate.
  • Support testing, commissioning, authority inspections and operational readiness activities.
  • Support the PM through oversight of rectification works and preparation & management of the defects list.
  • Awareness of the requirements of the Sands Engineering Standards, to assist in their implementation across all projects by the consultants and contractors.
  • Review as-built documentation and technical manuals for completeness.
  • Liaise regularly with the property operations teams, facilities management, casino and hospitality operations etc.
  • Promote safe design, construction, testing and maintenance practices.
  • Possess good communications skills to deal daily with consultants, contractors and end users.
  • Working knowledge of local codes and construction practice in Singapore.
  • Collaborative working and problem solving.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  • MEPF services management track record on major projects. 
  • Above 3 years’ working experience in the design of HVAC, Chilled water, Electrical systems, Wet & Dry Fire systems, ELV systems, CCTV, Access Control, BMS and Structured Cabling etc.
  • MEPF & ELV system interface experience with fit out design.
  • Hotel, Casino, Retail and F&B fit out and refurb experience.
