About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to maintain, administer, and support customer network and infrastructure environments. You will play a key role in ensuring network reliability, security, and performance while diagnosing technical issues, maintaining infrastructure, and implementing effective security measures. The role combines network administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, infrastructure support, and customer service, with opportunities to work across a broad range of networking and cloud technologies.

Ideal Profile
Experience & Qualifications
- Approximately 2–5 years of experience in network administration, network engineering, or a related technical role
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- CCNA or an equivalent recognised networking certification
- CCNP or additional networking, infrastructure, security, or cloud certifications are advantageous
Networking & Infrastructure
- Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP
- Experience managing Microsoft Windows domain controllers, file servers, and security groups
- Experience with network monitoring, performance optimisation, and management platforms
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including access control, encryption, authentication, and intrusion detection/prevention
- Experience with packet capture, network sniffers, and protocol analysis tools
- Experience maintaining network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records
- Experience with the Kaseya suite of tools is required
Advanced Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency with networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent
- Understanding of Software-Defined Networking concepts and technologies
- Familiarity with cloud networking platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with network virtualisation technologies such as VMware ESXi
- Knowledge of network automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and associated infrastructure technologies

Responsibilities
Network Administration & Infrastructure
- Maintain and administer customer networks, systems, hardware, software, and configurations
- Design, configure, and test networking software, hardware, and operating system environments
- Maintain network configurations and ensure technical documentation remains accurate and current
- Coordinate network access and usage across customer environments
- Work with technical teams to resolve network and infrastructure issues
Monitoring & Performance
- Monitor network performance, availability, and system health
- Operate management consoles to identify potential issues and performance concerns
- Analyse network performance and recommend appropriate adjustments and improvements
- Use Kaseya tools to monitor, manage, and maintain customer environments
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues
- Work with network users to identify and resolve technical problems
- Troubleshoot complex network issues using appropriate methodologies and diagnostic tools
- Replace faulty network hardware components when required
- Support email applications and associated systems where required
Security & Protection
- Implement and maintain appropriate network security measures
- Maintain antivirus and endpoint protection solutions
- Support network security, availability, and performance across customer environments
- Apply network security best practices relating to access control, encryption, authentication, and intrusion detection or prevention
Customer & Onsite Support
- Provide professional technical support to customers and end users
- Attend customer sites where remote access is impractical or where onsite technical assistance is required
- Support disaster recovery, data backup, hardware replacement, and other technical activities as required
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Hours of work
Most days 6:30 AM to 3:30PM Brisbane Time with 1 hour break.
On rare occasions, there may be scheduled to start at 2AM to 11AM Brisbane Time with 1 hour break.
