Job Description
As a LCS Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and optimizing data platforms, pipelines, and integration frameworks that power Business Intelligence, analytics, AI, and operational reporting across Lifecycle Services (LCS). You will be reporting into the LCS Business Intelligence & Data Governance Manager. This role serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, BI developers, analysts, IT, and digital teams, ensuring that LCS data is accurate, accessible, secure, scalable, and ready to support data-driven decision making.
You will contribute in ensuring enterprise reporting, Power BI solutions, advanced analytics, automation, and future AI capabilities by developing trusted data foundations and modern data engineering practices.
You will report to the Team Leader located in Poland and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, and maintain scalable data pipelines that integrate information from ERP, CRM, service management, financial, operational, and other enterprise systems.
- Build data models, data warehouses, data marts, and semantic layers that support reporting requirements.
- Develop ELT/ETL processes to ensure reliable and efficient movement of data across platforms.
- Support cloud-based and enterprise data architectures with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Provide high-quality, trusted datasets that power Power BI dashboards, operational reports, and self-service analytics.
- Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to understand reporting requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Improve data availability, refresh performance, and reliability across key business intelligence platforms.
- Support development of KPI definitions and standardized business metrics.
- Establish and maintain processes to improve data quality, consistency, integrity, and completeness.
- Partner with functional leaders to define data standards, ownership, and governance procedures.
- Implement monitoring, validation, and automated quality controls to ensure trusted business insights.
- Support compliance with enterprise data management, privacy, cybersecurity, and governance requirements.
- Develop scalable, governed data foundations that ensure predictive analytics, automation, AI/Copilot solutions, and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Partner with IT, automation, and AI teams to ensure data readiness while improving analytics infrastructure and data engineering practices
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, and enterprise analytics environments.
- Experience of SQL and relational database design.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies such as:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse
- Azure Databricks
- Microsoft Fabric
- Dataverse
- Azure SQL
- Experience supporting Power BI, tabular models, and semantic data layers.
- Understand API integrations, enterprise applications, and data interoperability patterns.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, version control, and automated deployment methods.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Experience supporting services, manufacturing, industrial automation, engineering, or technology organizations.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, service management, and financial systems.
- Experience with AI, advanced analytics, or automation platforms.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and product-based delivery models.
