Overview
We’re seeking a UX/UI Design Manager for a client in the tobacco industry, with direct-to-consumer digital platforms and teams based in Amsterdam. This is an individual contributor position at Manager level and carries no people management responsibilities. It is designed for a T-shaped designer with depth in UX strategy and product design and breadth across UX, UI, research, branding and visual design.
You will join the design team and be assigned to one of two delivery teams, Top of Funnel or Bottom of Funnel, designing website updates, user journeys, page layouts and eCRM. You will work embedded in product teams made up of client and PS colleagues, communicate directly with the client remotely, and own your work from brief to handover with little day-to-day supervision.
Your Impact
- Design website updates, new pages and layouts from brief to developer handover, across desktop and mobile.
- Map and improve the user journeys for your funnel stage, finding where visitors drop off and designing the fix.
- Produce wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI in Figma within each client’s design system, extending it where needed, and support user testing.
- Propose A/B tests with marketing and optimisation colleagues, using analytics, user research and test results to shape your decisions.
- Present your design rationale in client workshops, design reviews and presentations, framing each decision around the problem it solves.
- Partner with developers, copywriters, strategists and product owners, and check builds against your designs before release.
- Design to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards with page performance and SEO in mind, sharing work early with the design and engineering teams and contributing to shared patterns.

- A strong portfolio showing end-to-end product and website design work, with clear design rationale.
- Experience presenting to and working directly with clients or senior stakeholders, with strong storytelling and client communication, and fluent written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Figma, including components, auto layout and working with design systems.
