Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator

The Office of Information Technology is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Lead Administrator to provide technical leadership, administration, and support for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement platform used across Brigham Young University and the Church Educational System. This role is responsible for governing, optimizing, and expanding a platform that enables recruitment, enrollment, student success, and university communications initiatives. The position serves as a trusted partner to campus stakeholders by providing platform expertise, campaign consultation, user training, and operational support. Working closely with communication teams, functional offices, and technical partners, the administrator helps ensure effective, data-driven engagement with students and prospective students throughout their educational journey. This individual will also support integrations, automation, deliverability, and platform governance while promoting best practices and scalable solutions across the university.

 

What you'll do in this role

  • Administer and optimize Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including user access, security, platform configuration, monitoring, governance, and operational support.
  • Partner with departments across BYU and CES to design, build, and improve communication campaigns, automations, and student engagement journeys.
  • Lead user onboarding, training, consulting, and support efforts while developing documentation, standards, and best practices that promote successful platform adoption.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Center of Excellence and OIT teams to support integrations, data management, segmentation strategies, and emerging Salesforce capabilities.
  • Monitor campaign performance, automation health, and email deliverability while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Provide technical leadership and recommendations that help ensure Marketing Cloud remains secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with university communication goals.

What qualifies you for this role:

        Minimum Required:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience administering or supporting enterprise CRM, marketing automation, or Salesforce platforms.

 

        Preferred:

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience supporting higher education recruitment, enrollment, or student success communications.
  • Experience with Salesforce ecosystem products, including Data Cloud/Data 360.

Pay Grade: 54T

Typical Starting Pay: $90,000-$117,000

The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
