Python Intern – DevOps Automation

This is a remote position.

About the Role

DevOps Enabler & Co. is looking for enthusiastic Python Interns from a Computer Science background who are interested in building real-world DevOps automation tools and solutions.

During this 3-month internship, interns will work alongside our technical team and gain hands-on exposure to Python development, APIs, automation, DevOps practices, cloud technologies and modern software development workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Python scripts and utilities for DevOps automation.

• Build and integrate REST APIs using Python.

• Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks.

• Work with APIs, JSON, files, databases and external services.

• Assist in developing internal DevOps tools and automation frameworks.

• Work with Git and Git-based development workflows.

• Learn and contribute to CI/CD automation.

• Assist with testing, debugging and troubleshooting Python applications.

• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented Python code.

• Research new automation approaches and open-source technologies.

• Collaborate with DevOps engineers on real-world projects.

Requirements

Mandatory Educational Qualification

Candidates must have an educational background in the Computer Science stream.

Eligible qualifications include:

• B.E./B.Tech – Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering

• B.Sc. – Computer Science

• BCA – Bachelor of Computer Applications

• M.Sc. – Computer Science

• MCA – Master of Computer Applications

• Other equivalent Computer Science-related qualifications

Freshers and students pursuing their final year are welcome to apply.

Technical Requirements

Candidates should have:

• Basic to good knowledge of Python programming.

• Understanding of programming fundamentals, OOP and data structures.

• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub.

• Basic understanding of Linux commands.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to learn DevOps tools and technologies.

Knowledge of the following would be an added advantage:

• Docker

• Kubernetes

• GitLab/GitHub

• CI/CD

• Linux

• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

• FastAPI, Flask or Django

• SQL/databases

• Shell scripting
