Salesforce DevOps Engineer – Intern Summary – Salesforce Platform Enablement Team
About the Role
The Salesforce DevOps Intern will join the Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) and support the delivery, deployment, and operation of Salesforce solutions. This role provides hands-on experience across Salesforce development lifecycle processes, CI/CD automation, release management, source control, and platform governance.
You will work alongside experienced Salesforce developers, architects, and DevOps engineers, gaining real-world experience in enterprise-scale Salesforce delivery while learning modern DevOps practices and automation techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Salesforce deployment and release activities across multiple environments.
- Assist with CI/CD pipeline development, monitoring, and automation.
- Participate in source control management using Git and GitHub.
- Help maintain deployment standards, documentation, and DevOps processes.
- Assist with environment management, sandbox refreshes, and metadata migrations.
- Support troubleshooting of deployment and configuration issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts, and architects to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that increase automation and reduce manual effort.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Basic understanding of software development principles.
- Familiarity with source control concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and ways of working.
Preferred
- Exposure to Salesforce Platform or Salesforce Trailhead.
- Knowledge of Git or GitHub.
- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Powershell, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Apex.
