The Job
As a Senior Salesforce Developer – Field Service at Omnidian, you will design, develop, and optimize Salesforce Field Service solutions that power our technician experience and field operations. You'll leverage the latest Salesforce AI capabilities to automate workflows, improve technician productivity, and enhance customer experiences while building scalable, secure, and maintainable platform solutions.
You are a hands-on Salesforce engineer with deep expertise in Field Service who embraces AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices. You'll partner closely with Product, Operations, Customer Experience, and Engineering teams to deliver intelligent solutions that improve scheduling, dispatching, work execution, and operational efficiency.

Salesforce Field Service Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Salesforce Field Service solutions using native platform capabilities and custom development.
- Configure and customize Field Service functionality, including Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Resources, Service Territories, Work Types, Scheduling Policies, Dispatcher Console, and Field Service Mobile.
- Build modern Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex services, Flows, and Platform Events that support technician and dispatcher experiences.
- Develop mobile-first solutions that improve field technician productivity and customer service.
AI-Driven Engineering
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery, improve code quality, and automate repetitive development tasks.
- Design and implement AI-powered Salesforce solutions using capabilities such as Agentforce, Einstein AI, Prompt Builder, and Model Builder where appropriate.
- Build intelligent automations that improve technician recommendations, work order routing, knowledge retrieval, and operational decision-making.
- Evaluate emerging Salesforce AI capabilities and recommend practical use cases that improve business outcomes.
- Partner with Product and Operations teams to identify opportunities where AI can reduce manual effort and improve field service efficiency.
Platform Engineering
- Develop high-quality solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Flow, Platform Events, and Custom Metadata.
- Balance declarative configuration with custom development to build scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Ensure applications meet Salesforce best practices for security, performance, scalability, and governor limits.
- Perform code reviews, maintain automated testing, and contribute to engineering standards and platform quality.
Integrations & Automation
- Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce Field Service and enterprise applications using REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and platform-native integration capabilities.
- Design reliable automation that supports scheduling, dispatching, technician workflows, and customer communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational processes through intelligent automation and platform enhancements.
Who You Are
- You're an experienced Salesforce developer with deep expertise in Salesforce Field Service and Service Cloud.
- You have embraced AI-assisted software development and use modern AI tools to improve engineering productivity and solution quality.
- You understand how AI can enhance business workflows and customer experiences - not just generate code.
- You know when to configure Salesforce, when to build custom solutions, and when AI capabilities can deliver business value.
- You enjoy solving complex technical challenges while keeping user experience and operational efficiency at the center of your decisions.
- You collaborate effectively across engineering and business teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- You mentor teammates, promote engineering best practices, and continuously improve how software is built and delivered.
Experience You’ll Need
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with Service Cloud and Salesforce Field Service.
- Strong experience customizing Field Service capabilities, including Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Resources, Service Territories, Dispatcher Console, Scheduling Policies, and Field Service Mobile.
- Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Flow, Platform Events, and Custom Metadata.
- Experience building integrations using REST APIs and Salesforce integration patterns.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools (such as GitHub Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar) to improve development velocity, testing, documentation, and code quality.
- Experience designing or implementing Salesforce AI capabilities such as Agentforce, Einstein AI, Prompt Builder, or AI-powered automation.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, governor limits, data modeling, and platform architecture.
- Experience working in Git-based, source-driven development environments with modern CI/CD practices.
- Proven ability to own features from design through deployment and production support.
Experience That’s a Plus
- Salesforce Field Service Consultant certification.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
- Experience implementing Agentforce for customer service or field service use cases.
- Experience building AI-powered technician assistants, intelligent scheduling, or knowledge retrieval solutions.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, telephony, GIS, or customer communication platforms.
- Experience with MCP, or enterprise AI integration patterns.
- Experience in renewable energy, utilities, asset management, or home services industries.
- Experience working in high-growth SaaS or technology organizations.
