Full description

City: Glendale, CA or Seattle, WA

Onsite / Hybrid / Remote: Hybrid, 3–4 days onsite

Duration: 9 Months to start with

Rate Range: Up to $103.5/hr in W2

Work Authorization: GC, USC, All valid EADs except OPT, CPT, H1B

Must Have:

  • At least five years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring.
  • Experience with object-relational mapping frameworks.
  • Experience building full-stack applications using React or a comparable frontend framework.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack software applications.
  • Lead medium- to large-scale features from design through production.
  • Contribute to service and system architecture decisions.
  • Develop production-ready code and participate in code and design reviews.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and engineering teams.
  • Improve application observability, performance, reliability, and resiliency.
  • Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of client-server communication, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native development, stateless services, horizontal scaling, and observability.
  • Strong SQL and database development experience.
  • Ability to evaluate downstream impacts across interconnected systems.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems with limited guidance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Spring Boot and related Spring projects.
  • Experience with AWS or another cloud platform.
  • Experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, or Amazon SNS/SQS.
  • Experience in advertising technology or media-processing workflows.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Amazon Q Developer.
