TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking an Associate QA Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas.

Summary The Associate QA Specialist creates, documents, qualifies and maintains System Test Plans and Procedures. They also troubleshoot test systems, analyze production data, support quality initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product conformance, test reliability, and manufacturing efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with development, deployment, and field support teams to ensure proper issue resolution and customer service.
  • Required to effectively communicate summaries, reporting metrics, and overall test results to peers and upper management, written and verbal.
  • Organize and submit Help Desk Requests.
  • Maintain and support production test equipment.
  • Analyze Transaction Data Reports and reconcile data differences.
  • Develops and documents System Acceptance Test Procedures, Test Scripts, and Test Equipment.
  • Electronic filing of work orders.

Requirements and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 0-1 year of related experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and management.
  • Strong Testing and Debugging skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with SQL Databases.
  • Computer network experience.

Physical Demands/Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and moving traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
