Job Description
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions by collaborating within a dynamic and diverse international team. You will contribute to quality throughout the software development lifecycle, participate in defining testing approaches, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, end-to-end (E2E) and API testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint activities, requirement refinement sessions, and quality discussions.
- Contribute to test automation initiatives where applicable.
- Prepare test summaries, quality reports, and improvement recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with German-speaking and English-speaking stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in software testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Good knowledge of end-to-end (E2E) and API testing.
- Experience with database testing and SQL queries.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools (advantageous).
- Basic programming knowledge in C#, Python, JavaScript or a similar language.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English.
Nice to have
- Test automation experience using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with AI, data, or cloud-based applications.
- Exposure to CI/CD practices and DevOps environments.
