Reports To

Position: Engineer, Business Intelligence, Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc., 17955 Great Lakes Parkway, Hiram, OH 44234

Duties: Deliver and maintain reporting solutions within the SAP Business Objects and SAC environments. Independently apply basic proficiency in SQL and Analysis for office for routine data querying, manipulation, and validating report data against source systems. Apply knowledge of core data warehousing concepts and understand the function of ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes. Perform data analysis (e.g., summarizing, compiling, and trending) and create standardized reports using intermediate Excel functionality. Comply and distribute tailored daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management and business users on schedule. Monitor report broadcasting and bursting to users, escalating issues to senior team members when needed. Perform basic data cleansing activities and execute Unit Tests on defined reports to ensure data quality and system functionality. Proactively identify and report data load failures or other system issues to senior engineers for investigation and resolution. Exposure to BW data models and queries to debug the transformation rules. Carry out system administration tasks and implement necessary upgrades to ensure the system remains up to date. Adapt to existing and evolving BI tools as directed.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or work and/or education equivalent of a Bachelor's degree as determined by a professional evaluation service) in IT, MIS, Data Science, or closely related field. Must have: 3 years of experience in supporting, implementing, or performing hands-on development within the SAP reporting landscape using BOBJ, SAC or similar BI tools; 3 years of experience in report creation using tools such as WEBI, Analysis Office, or a similar environment; 3 years of experience with data warehousing concepts and data manipulation using SQL; 3 years of experience with SAP BW or S/4HANA; 3 years of experience in data analysis using Python or R scripts for utility purposes and data preparation; 1 year of experience with system administration and upgrade experience; 1 year of experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Snowflake.
