About the Role

To own the platform deployment process and its smooth day-to-day operation, contributing to platform stability, performance and continuous improvement while supporting colleagues and delivering against the area roadmap.

So, what will you be doing?

  • Platform Ownership – Take charge of the platform deployment process, ensuring its smooth operation.
  • Mentorship – Provide guidance and support to junior team members in handling incoming support requests.
  • Knowledge Sharing – Cultivate an in-depth understanding of our platform and share this knowledge with colleagues.
  • Performance Optimisation – Monitor platform performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Deadline Commitment – Align with the area roadmap and strive to meet deadlines for assigned tasks.
  • End-to-End Approach – Embrace a start-to-finish mindset in all endeavours.
  • Team Collaboration – Participate in the support rotation and contribute to on-call technical escalation support.

And what are we looking for?

  • Continuous Integration/Deployment: Solid grasp of the principles of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment, ideally with GitLab CI/CD.
  • Scripting Skills: Proven ability in scripting for deployment purposes.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and a strong team player, collaborating closely with operations, development and release management colleagues.
  • Linux Proficiency: Comfortable working with Linux-based operating systems.
  • Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, EKS and related services); experience with other cloud platforms is transferable.
  • Container Orchestration: Proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration, including Rancher-managed clusters.
  • GitOps: Proficient in managing Kubernetes applications using Helm and ArgoCD, with a strong desire to further enhance these skills.
  • Infrastructure Provisioning: Exposure to using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Observability: Familiarity with monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana and enterprise APM solutions (e.g. Dynatrace).
  • Data and Messaging Services: Exposure to operating platform-supporting services such as Redis and Kafka is an asset.

Salary Range - €45,000 - €55,000
