Everforth ECS is seeking a Project Manager to work in our Fairfax, VA office in a hybrid onsite/remote capacity.
Everforth ECS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to work in a hybrid remote/on-site capacity in our Fairfax, VA office supporting a portfolio of U.S. Department of War (DoW) programs. The Project Manager serves as the primary interface between government stakeholders and cross-functional project teams, leading the planning, execution, and delivery of secure cloud-based solutions. This role works closely with systems engineers, cloud engineers, cybersecurity engineers, software developers, and operations personnel to coordinate project activities, manage schedules, mitigate risks, and ensure successful project execution.
The ideal candidate possesses strong project management, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate technical teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver projects on schedule and within scope. A general understanding of cloud technologies and software development processes is preferred to effectively support engineering and cybersecurity teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary project manager and customer interface for assigned government programs.
- Lead project planning, execution, and delivery while coordinating cross-functional engineering and cybersecurity teams.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, implementation plans, project documentation, and status reports.
- Coordinate project activities across systems engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, software development, and operations teams.
- Track project scope, schedules, resources, risks, issues, and action items throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate project meetings, Agile ceremonies, customer meetings, and project status reviews.
- Coordinate system deployments, production releases, maintenance activities, and project deliverables.
- Support project reporting by preparing executive briefings, customer presentations, and status updates.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

Qualifications

- 5-9 years of project coordination, project management, technical, defense, or related experience
- 5+ years of experience managing IT, software development, infrastructure, or cybersecurity projects
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience:
- Leading cross-functional project teams and delivering projects in an Agile environment.
- Working in or supporting DoW programs
- Interest in technology and willingness to learn technical concepts
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Teams).
- General understanding of cloud technologies (AWS preferred) and enterprise IT environments.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
- Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
