Leesburg, VA — Hybrid Department: Operations Reports to: VP of Operations

About the Role

Vertosoft is seeking an experienced and analytical professional to join our Operations team as a Government Business Analyst.

This role is responsible for owning operational workflows across the business unit, including registrations, onboarding, pricing validation, and contract reporting. The Government Business Analyst ensures pricing integrity, compliance alignment, and accurate reporting while supporting scalable, audit-ready operations.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in government contracting who are ready to independently manage defined workflows, systems, and contract requirements.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding of assigned Vendors and Customers including external communications and internal system setup
  • Validate pricing data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract requirements and manage pricing within internal systems to ensure accurate and timely quotes
  • Prepare, validate, and support monthly contract reporting activities
  • Coordinate registration and access to external portals and platforms and maintain a centralized repository of all active accounts.
  • Maintain alignment between contract requirements and operational systems (CRM, ERP, and vendor portals)
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks; escalate issues as needed
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and support internal reviews
  • Recommend and contribute to operational and system improvements
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Contracts to ensure data and process alignment
  • Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience in government contracting, pricing analysis, or compliance-focused operations
  • Strong analytical skills with experience validating and reconciling data
  • Ability to interpret contract terms and pricing structures
  • High attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting government contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, SEWP, SLED, cooperative purchasing agreements)
  • Experience preparing or validating contract reporting
  • Familiarity with compliance audits or audit readiness practices
  • Experience contributing to process improvements or systems enhancements

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation Range based on total On-Target Earnings (OTE)): $80,000 – $120,000.
  • Total on-target earnings (OTE) include base salary plus target bonus and/or commission, as applicable to the position.
