Job Description:

About Everest:

Everest is a global leader in risk management, rooted in a rich, 50+ year heritage of enabling businesses to survive and thrive, and economies to function and flourish. We are underwriters of risk, growth, progress and opportunity. We are a global team focused on disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation for all stakeholders, who care deeply about our impact on communities and the wider world.

About the Role:

You have a proven track record of managing key projects and supporting complex business programs within the P&C insurance industry or a closely related field. You are an execution-focused problem solver who can operate in ambiguity, drive coordination across cross-functional teams, and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization. You understand project management best practices and apply them pragmatically based on the needs of each initiative. You communicate directly, manage risk proactively, and remain focused on solutions when challenges arise. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead by example through accountability, collaboration, and results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and delivery of strategic and high-priority projects across underwriting, technology/AI, operations, claims, finance, actuarial, corporate development, and other functions. Projects may include enterprise transformation efforts, technology-enabled change, process improvement, and integration activities.
  • Help drive projects from concept through execution by developing project plans, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery against timeline, scope, and business objectives.
  • Support business case development and planning for larger strategic initiatives by gathering requirements, conducting analysis, and preparing recommendations.
  • Leverage data, metrics, and operational insights to identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and operating models, and to monitor project performance against key success measures.
  • Prepare and deliver clear project documentation and communications, including status reports, risks and issues logs, timelines, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Provide transparent reporting on project status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes, escalating issues appropriately and collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Partner with project sponsors and business owners to track benefits, measure outcomes, and ensure realization of expected value.
  • Identify project risks and issues early, assess impacts, and recommend practical mitigation and contingency plans to maintain momentum and achieve objectives.
  • Build strong working relationships across functions and geographies, fostering collaboration, alignment, and shared understanding among stakeholders, project teams, and external partners.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement while helping teams stay focused on priorities and delivering results.

Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience leading medium to large-scale projects or workstreams, ideally within P&C insurance, financial services, or a similarly complex, matrixed environment.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information into clear, actionable recommendations and materials for leadership.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences, including senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with project management tools and Agile delivery methodologies preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work products and meet commitments in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on practical, outcomes-oriented solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage dependencies, risks, and milestones across multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, collaborate effectively, and influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
  • Commercial P&C insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge preferred; experience working in a global organization is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum) are a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $119,000 - $149,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
