They need strong attention to detail, clear written and spoken English, reliable and structured work habits, and the ability to manage tasks in a distributed team; bug-tracker, test-plan, console or mobile testing, Unity, and video-capture experience are advantageous.

About Us

Chimera Entertainment is an independent game development studio based in Germany. We create high-quality games through strong collaboration, clear ownership, and thoughtful production processes.

To strengthen our development team in Cebu, we are looking for a QA Tester with a sharp eye for detail, a real love for games, and the drive to help us ship polished, stable builds.

Your role:

You join our team in Cebu and work closely with the developers in Munich. Your main focus is our PC roguelike: you play it, break it, and help us make it better every build. You also support QA on Chimera's other games when they need extra hands.

This role suits someone with some QA experience, or a fast learner who knows games well and wants to grow into QA.

Role Overview

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Test new builds, features, and fixes on PC
  • Find, reproduce, and document bugs with clear steps, screenshots, and videos
  • Track bugs in our bug tracker and follow them until they're fixed
  • Run regression tests before releases and milestones
  • Write and maintain test cases and checklists
  • Give feedback on gameplay, balance, and usability, not only bugs
  • Test roguelike systems closely: runs, progression, randomness, and edge cases
  • Support testing on other Chimera titles when needed
  • Work with designers, programmers, and production across time zones in Cebu and Munich

Your profile:

  • First QA or game-testing experience, or a strong drive to learn it fast
  • You play a lot of games, ideally PC games and roguelikes
  • Sharp eye for detail and patience for repetitive testing
  • Clear written bug reports: what happened, how to repeat it, what you expected
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Comfortable working in a remote, distributed team
  • Reliable, structured, and able to manage your own tasks

The ideal candidate also has:

  • Experience with bug tracker
  • Experience with test plans and regression testing
  • Console or mobile testing experience
  • Basic knowledge of Unity
  • Video capture and editing for bug reports
