Salary: VPS 3.1 $81,496 - $86,735

About the role

This is a two-year Fixed Term Graduate position.

As a Graduate Asset Management Data Analyst, you'll support data analysis, reporting and dashboard development within the Asset Intelligence Branch, helping the team understand asset condition, performance and trends across Victoria's transport infrastructure. You'll get hands-on experience working with large datasets, tools like Power BI and Tableau, and a range of internal and external stakeholders. It's a great opportunity to apply your data skills to real infrastructure challenges at scale.

  • Is adaptable and open to new ideas and ways of working

Qualifications and experience

Mandatory

  • A tertiary qualification in data analytics, data science, statistics, information systems, asset management or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau

Desirable

  • Experience in a programming language such as R, SQL or Python
  • Experience in asset management, ideally in a complex asset-intensive environment
  • Experience working with geospatial data (e.g. Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML)

Who can apply

  • Graduated, or be due to graduate, from an Australian or New Zealand University between 1 December 2024 and 31 January 2027.
  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with full working rights for the required period.
