Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Technical Writer works in the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure we effectively communicate operations and complete required deliverables to support the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.
Responsibilities:
- The principal requirement for this role is to develop, prepare, write, edit, publish, and improve PMO and required documents to include SOPs.
- The documents include but are not limited to the: Project Management Plan (PMP).: Configuration/Change Management (C/CM) Plan, Stakeholder Management Plan, Communication Plan, Performance Management Plan, Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan, the Facility Management Plan (FMP) and the Capacity Management Plan (CMP).
- The Technical Writer will be instrumental in providing technical communications analysis, projection planning, advisory services and assistance in coordination for all communication elements of this effort.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 4+ years
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:
