POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Salesforce Administrator supports a Salesforce Center of Innovation as the senior configuration authority for license management, user separation, self-service reporting, and accessibility across a large enterprise Salesforce footprint.
This role blends hands-on administration with business analysis. You will work directly with leadership and application teams to understand what they need, then build it using the platform's declarative tools. It suits someone who is deep in Salesforce configuration, equally comfortable running a requirements conversation, and ready to set standards other administrators follow.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
License and Access Management
- Track and report Salesforce license consumption across orgs and identify reclamation opportunities ahead of renewal.
- Maintain license assignment processes along with permission sets, permission set groups, and profiles.
- Administer the user separation process so departing users are deprovisioned completely and on time across all applicable orgs.
- Keep access and separation records current so entitlement decisions can be audited.
Reporting and Analytics
- Build and maintain self-service reports and dashboards covering license usage, release activity, helpdesk volume, and other leadership metrics.
- Design report types, custom report formulas, and dashboard filters so teams can answer their own questions without submitting a request.
- Validate the data quality behind the reporting so leadership can rely on the numbers.
Accessibility
- Test Salesforce interfaces and components against Section 508 and WCAG standards.
- Document accessibility findings, prioritize remediation with the development team, and verify fixes before release.
- Apply accessible design practices in declarative work, including page layouts, Lightning App Builder, field labels, and help text.
Analysis and Leadership
- Gather and document requirements from stakeholders and translate them into configuration or a clear specification for developers.
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing.
- Promote configuration through sandbox environments and approved DevSecOps deployment processes.
- Partner with developers, product owners, and security teams in an Agile delivery cadence.
- Set standards for permission architecture, reporting, and accessibility so the work stays consistent across the platform.
- Mentor administrators, review their configuration work, and serve as the escalation point for complex declarative problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of relevant experience in Salesforce administration, business analysis, or enterprise application support.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator.
- Salesforce Certified Business Analyst.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government background investigation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
- Experience testing against Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA, including assistive technology such as JAWS or NVDA.
- License management across multiple Salesforce orgs.
- Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or other FedRAMP environments.
- CRM Analytics or comparable reporting and dashboarding tools.
- ServiceNow or a comparable IT service management platform, plus Jira and Confluence.
- Prior federal or public sector experience.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
The team operates against contract service levels for modernization task delivery and hotfix deployment timelines. Specific targets are reviewed during onboarding.
WORK LOCATION
Primarily remote within the contiguous United States. Occasional on-site support at customer facilities may be required, along with limited off-hours availability for releases, outages, and critical incidents.
