Full description

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert supporting our client’s enterprise Data Governance program. Working under the direction of the Data Governance Lead, this role translates governance priorities into technical solutions by implementing enterprise data governance capabilities, metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, authoritative data sources, and AI-ready data foundations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance Platform Implementation
  • Configure and administer enterprise data governance platforms.
  • Design metadata models and governance workflows.
  • Implement and maintain business glossaries and metadata repositories.
  • Support enterprise data catalog implementation and metadata harvesting.
  • Implement data quality rules and monitoring.
  • Support master and reference data management initiatives.
  • Data Architecture, Mapping, and Lineage
  • Develop data lineage and authoritative source documentation.
  • Develop integration patterns supporting governance objectives.
  • Support AI data readiness and trusted data pipelines.
  • Assist with legacy data discovery and rationalization.
  • Solution Design and Technical Support
  • Partner with Data Stewards to document business definitions.
  • Produce architecture documentation and technical standards.
  • Develop solution designs and implementation plans.
  • Support testing, deployment, training, and user adoption.
  • Provide technical recommendations to the Data Governance Lead.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams, Data Stewards, and stakeholders.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned to support evolving client, project, platform, and company needs.

Clearance Level:

  • Current or ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is required. Note: To obtain a security clearance, you must be a U.S. citizen and meet the 13 adjudicative guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience implementing enterprise data management or data governance solutions, including experience with:
  • Metadata management, data cataloging, and data lineage
  • ETL, data mapping, and systems integration
  • Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of enterprise data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, and data lineage.
  • Ability to configure and support enterprise data governance platforms.
  • Ability to design metadata models, governance workflows, business glossaries, and metadata repositories.
  • Knowledge of ETL, data mapping, systems integration, and authoritative data sources.
  • Ability to develop architecture documentation, technical standards, solution designs, implementation plans, and other technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of data quality management, master/reference data management, and AI data readiness.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate issues, identify options, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively with Data Stewards and cross-functional technical teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Federal government or Department of Defense (DoD) experience.
  • Experience with data governance platforms such as Unity Catalog, Informatica, Collibra, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Advana/Jupiter DoD War Data Catalog.
  • Experience with data quality management, master data management, or AI readiness and data architecture.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Associate Data Governance Professional (ADGP), or CompTIA Security+ certification.

  • Location Preference: Prefer candidates who reside in the Eastern Time Zone or who can work Eastern Time Zone business hours to ensure alignment with client schedules and team collaboration.
