As a Microsoft Data Engineer at CompuNet, you will design, build, optimize, and modernize enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL Server, and related technologies.
Role Expectations
Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in Microsoft Data and Analytics technologies including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, SQL and Power BI. Consulting & Engagement: Deliver customer-focused consulting engagements and guide data modernization initiatives. Solution Architecture: Architect secure, scalable, governed data platforms. Communication & Leadership: Partner with business and technical stakeholders.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and support modern Microsoft data platforms in Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
- Build enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse solutions.
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Fabric Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and Databricks.
- Create scalable data models and analytics solutions.
- Implement governance, lineage, security, and compliance controls.
- Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
- Support Power BI, analytics, and AI initiatives.
- Implement DevOps, Git, and CI/CD practices.
Key Expectations
Serve as a Microsoft Data subject matter expert, lead customer engagements, develop Statements of Work, and maintain relevant certifications.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years designing enterprise data solutions.
- 3+ years working with Azure Data Services.
- Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, and Power BI.
- Advanced SQL and data modeling experience.
- Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, ETL/ELT, governance, Python, Spark, and DataOps.
- Experience implementing and optimizing a Medallion Architecture.
- Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Preferred Certifications: DP-203, DP-600, PL-300, DP-300, AI-102, AZ-305.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks at scale.
- Experience working with data architectures specifically for LLM use-cases.
