Responsibilities:

  • Craft compelling design concepts by distilling complex problems and insights into clear, elegant solutions - from early ideation through to validated concepts and developer handover.
  • Apply UCD and design thinking methods across the full process: wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, and journey maps.
  • Contribute to Design Guidelines, design metrics, and success criteria at the Experience Design group level.
  • Lead or participate in user research and evaluation at the appropriate stage, in close collaboration with the UX Research team.
  • Own defined areas of the end-to-end experience. Collaborate with Design, PMs, and R&D to ensure seamless integration across the Sonova ecosystem.
  • Support junior designers and contribute to a culture of quality and craft within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience designing digital products for web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
  • Expert knowledge of user-centered design, UX research, and hypothesis-driven design methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-informed approach to design decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels
  • Self-motivated, organized, and highly effective in fast-paced, complex environments
  • Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and leveraging AI-powered design tools
  • Experience mentoring designers and promoting design quality and best practices
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications
