About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights, supporting informed decision-making across all levels of the organization. This position involves developing Power BI reports, exploring and implementing data management solutions leveraging AI/ML, automating processes using Microsoft Power Platform, and writing SQL queries to pull data from our Snowflake database.
Core Responsibilities
- Power BI Reporting and Analytics
- Design, build, maintain, and continuously improve Power BI reports and semantic models.
- Create user-friendly dashboards with strong visual design, clear business context, consistent formatting standards, and high attention to usability and performance.
- Write and troubleshoot DAX measures, calculated columns, Power Query transformations, and report logic to ensure accurate, reliable, and actionable insights.
- Data Modeling, SQL, and Data Warehousing
- Develop SQL queries to support reporting, analysis, and data quality needs.
- Partner with data engineering and business teams to improve data models, troubleshoot refresh failures, resolve source system issues, and strengthen the reliability of reporting.
- Data Governance, Security, and Access Control
- Assist with data governance practices that improve data quality and reliability.
- Implement and maintain report access controls, sensitivity labels, and row-level security.
- Document report logic, data definitions, security assumptions, and user guidance.
- Process Automation and Business Systems Support
- Build and support workflow automations using Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and related tools to reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.
- Identify opportunities to apply automation, analytics, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities.
- Stakeholder Partnership and Communication
- Partner with a variety of stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical analytics solutions.
- Communicate findings, report logic, data limitations, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support adoption of analytics products through developing user guides and leading trainings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on Power BI and SQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (Snowflake, Azure).
- Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems.
- Previous experience in the construction or a related industry.
