As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll help us optimize our finances so that we can enhance our customer experience even more and navigate the fast-changing business environment. This role is an opportunity to act as the key finance leader and get really involved with shaping our business. You’ll influence others and use insights to show senior stakeholders ways that we can move forward with our business ambitions.

Key job responsibilities - Build financial models to drive business decisions and make judgement calls on challenges using your understanding of Amazon’s cost structure - Lead projects by overseeing timelines, priorities, auditing quality and resolving issues - Generate insights from financial data, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and communicate findings with the leadership team to drive business actions - Own the financial reporting, create scalable processes and monitor teams for accuracy - Onboard, develop and mentor team members in areas of financial reporting for accuracy, create best practice materials and promote knowledge sharing

A day in the life Your typical day involves consolidating weekly or monthly financials for Cost-to-Serve initiatives, connecting with initiative owners to gather updates and validate data accuracy. You'll prepare insightful analyses for Management Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), focusing on trends and performance metrics. A significant portion of your time is dedicated to leading Quadrant reporting for Cost-to-Serve, requiring close partnership with Operations teams to ensure alignment and accurate representation of financial impacts.

About the team Our team uniquely bridges Operations Finance and Stores organizations, owning Cost-to-Serve strategies and cost allocations that span multiple business units. We are the only team within Operations Finance that creates this valuable connection between these two critical organizations.

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or above - Experience in a finance role leading a project or program and partnering with multiple stakeholders within a business - Experience working with Excel, reporting tools, and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau - Experience in financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Economics - Experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges - Experience working in a large team or fast-paced corporate environment - Experience making strategic business decisions and managing internal relationships
