The role:

As a QA Engineer at Centellic, you’ll help ensure their software remains reliable and fit for purpose.

You’ll build, maintain and run automated test suites to catch defects before they reach production.

You’ll also work with their software development teams to improve the quality of what they deliver, using a combination of automated and manual testing and measuring outcomes against the original requirements agreed with the product development team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the QA, Development and Product teams to deliver the software roadmap and continuously improve customer-facing products, while ensuring appropriate test coverage

• Continuously improve and maintain their existing Selenium and Java automation frameworks

• Develop new browser and API automated tests that align with business objectives and agreed specifications

• Migrate new automated tests to their Playwright frameworks

• Run regression tests, analyse the results and clearly report findings to Development and Product leads

• Carry out manual testing of new functionality for their internal teams and projects across multiple locations

• Champion early testing practices, helping teams deliver faster by using automation and identifying defects sooner

Qualifications

• Solid background in test automation, with the confidence to work independently

• Hands-on knowledge of Selenium and Java

• Practical exposure to API testing

• Good understanding of software testing principles and how to apply them in practice

• Experience working in an Agile team and collaborating closely with developers, product and QA colleagues

• Able to understand business needs and requirements and turn them into clear, effective testing approaches

• A clear communicator who knows when to raise an issue, challenge something or ask for support

• Curious, proactive and interested in better tools, better processes and smarter ways of working

Brownie points:

• Experience with Playwright

• Familiarity with Karate or Cucumber

• Understanding of CI pipelines and how automated tests fit into them

• Exposure to Azure DevOps

• ISEB or similar testing qualification
