Full description

The Pepperstone story started in 2010. We know what it’s like to trade the world’s markets. Our team describes us as a place for the curious and the driven, and we like to do things a little differently; as a transformative global fintech we’re digital, nimble, connected, and united in our vision to create a better way to trade.

We thrive on progress – for our clients and for ourselves. Our organisational culture is ever-evolving, vibrant, diverse, global and results focused. You’ll find our 700+ team across 12 regions and 9 time zones.

The role

Our Product Manager will own the onboarding and account management journey, sign-up through verification, approval, and first deposit/trade; accountable for conversion, drop-offs, and time-to-value.

You'll lead our Alloy EV/KYC decisioning (cascade, match rates, retries) to maximise coverage with minimal friction, and improve back-office operations to boost straight-through processing.

You'll also deliver withdrawal fraud prevention and account security controls: step-up verification, MFA, withdrawal blocks; balanced against risk and customer experience.

You'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Operations, UX, and Analytics to ship measurable outcomes across multiple jurisdictions.

As our Product Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute the product strategy for client onboarding and account/profile management, aligned to commercial growth, regulatory obligations, and risk appetite.
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding and activation funnel, monitoring performance, diagnosing drop-offs, and delivering measurable uplift through iterative optimisation
  • Lead discovery → design → delivery for enhancements across onboarding, verification, and post-onboarding account settings (security, profile, recovery flows).
  • Define, implement, and continuously optimise Alloy EV provider configurations and cascades to maximise verification coverage and approval rates while reducing customer friction.
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Legal to ensure KYC/AML, disclosures, suitability and record-keeping requirements are met across licences and jurisdictions.
  • Improve back-office onboarding workflows by reducing manual review volumes, rework, and handling times through better tooling, queue management, exception paths, and clear SLAs.

About you

  • 2–3 years’ product management experience, with demonstrable outcomes improving onboarding/activation funnels (signup → verification → approval → first deposit/trade).
  • Experience in regulated financial services (broker, fintech, payments, crypto) with a strong grasp of compliance-by-design and operating in risk-managed environments.
  • Strong analytical capability: funnel analysis, cohorting, experimentation mindset (A/B testing where appropriate), and ability to translate insights into prioritised product work.
  • Hands-on knowledge of identity verification and KYC/eKYC ecosystems (document verification, liveness, risk signals, retry/exception flows, provider tuning and coverage optimisation).
  • Understanding of back-office onboarding operations: manual review queues, SLAs, exception handling, rework reduction, and designing for STP.
  • Product judgement for onboarding UX: clear guidance, error states, recovery flows, and balancing conversion with trust, security, and regulatory obligations.

Why you will enjoy working with us

  • Competitive salary structure including company bonus scheme
  • Private Medical coverage
  • Genuinely collaborative and friendly culture
  • Flexible and hybrid working
  • Remote working option - work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year
  • Ongoing personal development & learning opportunities
  • 3 paid volunteering days per year & Workplace Giving Program
  • Periodic recognition and reward programs for outstanding performance and achievements
  • Frequent events and celebrations
  • Employee Assistance Program & Wellbeing Initiatives
  • Convenient and cozy office located near Astoria at KLUSTER Coworking
