Summary
The Manager, Project Logistics, reports to LOGISTEED America, Inc.’s GM, Project Logistics. The Manager, Project Logistics Manager, based out of the Mineola, NY location (preferred but not required), is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships with domestic and foreign customers. This position will be responsible for creating new client partnerships as well as maintaining existing customer relationships and promoting and increasing market share of project cargo operations.

Essential Functions

- Mentor junior sales and business development staff
- Maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at client organizations
- Support team member's Project executions
- Promote project logistics solutions including heavy lift, breakbulk, and multimodal transport
- Meet all assigned sales and budget goals
- Prospect, develop, quote and close international transportation accounts in a geographic sales region
- Sell profitable new business to include prospecting, cold calling, cultivating leads and networking.
- Design service solutions and make customized presentations to various decision-making audiences to close new business
- Maintain and increase revenue streams with current key accounts, to include face to face visits, problem solving and administrative follow-up
- Plan and organize for growth using company tools, processes and technologies to manage/grow territory and document activity
- Manage project cargo on-site operations
- Maintain safety control level at the site of project cargo operation
- Gather sub-contractors (Heavy Haul, Rigging, Stevedoring Company and Ocean carrier) information and evaluate them and research the best partners
- Survey transport route including inside port and jobsite
- Organize cost information of various project cargo, and prepare project cargo quotation based on sales in charges requirement / overseas requirement
- Report bi-weekly on personal itinerary, sales plan execution and market development
- Ensure high post-sales satisfaction and positive long-term relationships
- Effectively and fairly deal with many constituents (colleagues, employees, agents, carriers, customers, etc.) via developed diplomacy and interpersonal skills to maximize sales and revenue growth within territory

Communications
- Maintains communication and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports and statistics

- Maintains current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight
- Manages multiple customers across the globe coordinating shipments between multiple carriers and modes of transportation
- Knowledge of state, federal and international applicable laws and regulations as they relate to primary services provided (i.e. Customs, Security, other export & export government agencies)

Finance
- Reviews weekly Accounts Receivable Reports and communicate status to Branch Manager
Training
- Trains and develops Export Operations Air and Ocean teams
- Creates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for Export Operations
- Participate in application of LUS policies and procedures including but not limited Attendance and Punctuality policy, progressive corrective action, and others.
- Training and developing Team as needed
Collaboration
- Works closely with HR Department and Branch Manager concerning recruitment, corrective action process and performance review process
- Works closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines
- Support internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to safety, compliance, HR. finance and customers.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ability to travel if needed for business necessity
- Should be available for holiday, night and weekend shifts to meet required customer/business needs.
- Working closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines

Previous Work Experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience successfully selling international transportation services including project cargo
Education and Certifications
