Full description

A multinational defence organisation is building a picture of its own assets,configurations and vulnerabilities, and that picture is only as good as the data behind it. Thisrole owns the onboarding end: what comes in, whether it matches the model, and who agreed to it.

What you would be doing

  • Maintaining the register of data sources and checking that what arrives matches the data modeland has landed correctly.
  • Analysing sources covering assets, configurations and vulnerabilities — cataloguing them,pulling out what matters, and reviewing configurations against the security standards in force.
  • Leading technical discussions on sources, correlation and procedures: setting the agenda,holding the room, and turning several opinions into one decision.
  • Preparing and presenting findings, with recommendations and the method written down so theresult can be repeated.
  • Reviewing the service for depth, compliance and exposure — architecture, configuration,procedures, documentation.
  • Attending and, where needed, chairing the onboarding group and the data governance board.

What you would bring

  • An engineering degree, ideally at master's level, and experience in data work of this kind.
  • A working understanding of Splunk and SQL.
  • Genuine care with classified and mission-critical information.
  • Communication that holds up in front of government bodies, partners and industry alike, andthe confidence to run a board rather than just attend one.
  • Professional English at full working level.
  • Helpful: experience supporting a military or governmental organisation.

The assignment is on-site near Brussels.
