The selected candidate will be a Hong Kong-based member of Recurrent Energy’s Finance team, reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting. This role will support group financial reporting and consolidation activities, period-end close, financial statement preparation, audit requests, and selected technical accounting analyses under the direction of the Manager.Key responsibilities
Group Financial Reporting and Consolidation
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reporting and consolidation processes
- Prepare and validate consolidation schedules, reporting packages, account analyses, and supporting workpapers
- Assist with intercompany reconciliation and elimination entries and follow up on identified differences
- Support preparation of consolidated financial statements, disclosures, and management reporting materials
Close and Audit Support
- Coordinate with regional finance teams to collect complete and accurate reporting submissions in accordance with the close calendar
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to routine auditor and advisor requests with appropriate supporting documentation
- Maintain organized workpapers and documentation supporting key balances, adjustments, and reporting conclusions
Accounting Analysis and Process Improvement
- Perform accounting research and prepare supporting analyses forselected transactions under the guidance of the Manager, FinancialReporting
- Assist in maintaining accounting policies, reporting instructions,templates, and process documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency,standardization, and internal controls
Cross-Functional Support
- Work with regional controllership, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and otherteams to support reporting and accounting requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation,audit, or general accounting
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement presentationand disclosure requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, documentation, and communicationskills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to deliver accurate work withinreporting deadlines
- Ability to collaborate effectively across regions and functions and followthrough on open items
- Ability to analyze accounting information, identify issues, and escalatematters appropriately
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and internationallycoordinated environment
- HKICPA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification, or progress towardqualification, is preferred
- Experience with multinational group reporting or consolidation ispreferred
- Audit experience or experience in the energy, infrastructure, orconstruction industries is an advantage
