Montcure, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) delivering innovative, data-driven consulting and advisory services. Our team partners with government and commercial clients to solve complex data and mission challenges — and this role sits at the center of a high-visibility analytics program supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA).
Job Summary
We're looking for a Senior DES Data Analyst to lead a team of eight analysts and own the analytics backbone of a mission-critical DHA reporting program — from the data dictionary and measure catalog through the recurring report pipeline, cohort extraction, data quality monitoring, and system change management. You'll be the go-to authority on what the data means, how it flows, and whether it can be trusted.
This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll manage a team while staying close to the data yourself, and you'll regularly brief senior government leadership on what the numbers show.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise a team of eight analysts
- Own the data dictionary and measure catalog across multiple source systems
- Manage the recurring report pipeline end-to-end, from extract through publication
- Oversee cohort extraction and validation
- Run data quality monitoring, error taxonomy development, and remediation routing
- Draft system change requests and support user acceptance testing
- Develop and maintain business process maps
- Author and maintain system user guidebooks
- Present analytic findings and recommendations to senior government leadership
Required Qualifications
Certifications Required: Recognized data analytics certification required by the solicitation standard (Google Data Analytics Professional, Microsoft, Tableau, AWS, or CAP)
- Active Secret clearance, maintainable throughout employment
- Bachelor's degree in an information technology-related field
- 6+ years of systems or business analytics experience
- 5+ years supervising or overseeing personnel
- 3+ years identifying the data frameworks essential to executing analytic tasks
- Demonstrated ownership of a recurring reporting pipeline from extract through publication
- Experience defining data dictionaries and measure definitions across multiple source systems
- Experience with data quality monitoring, error taxonomy development, and remediation routing
- Experience drafting system change requests and supporting user acceptance testing
- Proficiency with SQL, Power BI or comparable visualization tooling, advanced Excel, and Microsoft Access
- Experience presenting analytic results to senior government leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating system-level data requirements and architectures into enterprise-level architectures meeting DoD regulation
- Experience with the Veterans Tracking Application or a comparable case management system of record
- Experience developing business process maps in DoD Architecture Framework formats
- R or Python
- Experience authoring system user guidebooks and delivering end-user training
- Master's degree in analytics, information systems, or a quantitative field
Technical Environment
SQL • Power BI • Microsoft Excel (Advanced) • Microsoft Access • R / Python • DoD Architecture Framework tools
What Success Looks Like
- A steady, trusted hand who can lead a team while staying hands-on with the data
- Comfortable owning ambiguity — turning messy, multi-source data into a clean, trusted single source of truth
- Confident communicating technical findings clearly to non-technical, senior stakeholders
- Process-minded, with strong documentation and quality-control habits
Status: Contingency – This work is contingent upon award.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 (Based on Experience)
