Job Description Summary
We have an opening for a Network Engineer in our New York office.
The Network Engineer will contribute to our organization’s network infrastructure design, implementation, and operations. The successful candidate will work on advanced networking technologies including Wi-Fi, BGP, global WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity (Azure/AWS), ensuring robust, secure, and high-performing network services across multiple geographic locations. This role requires deep technical expertise in routing protocols, traffic prioritization (QoS), and on-premises-to-cloud connectivity, combined with strong collaboration skills to support distributed teams. The Network Engineer will drive technical innovation, optimize performance, and work with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications and services.
Job Description
In this capacity, the Network Engineer will:
· Contribute to global Wide Area Network (WAN) operations, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance;
· Participate in the deployment and optimization of Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) solutions to enhance network agility and cost-efficiency;
· Design, implement, and maintain multiple networks connecting via advanced routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP;
· Implement on-premises-to-public-cloud connectivity, including hybrid network architectures.
· Set up and maintain cloud networking environments in Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon AWS, including VPCs, VPNs, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute;
· Ensure seamless integration of cloud-based services with enterprise network infrastructure;
· Implement and refine Quality of Service (QoS) policies for traffic prioritization, ensuring optimal performance for critical applications (e.g., VoIP, video, business systems);
· Monitor and troubleshoot network latency, packet loss, and bandwidth utilization;
· Collaborate with network engineering teams across multiple geographic locations, fostering technical knowledge sharing;
· Support resource allocation and project execution to meet organizational goals;
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members;
· Maintain network uptime, security, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST);
· Configure monitoring tools, high availability setups, and disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure;
· Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures;
· Partner with IT leadership, application teams, and external vendors to align network capabilities with organizational needs;
· Serve as an escalation point for complex network issues and outages;
· Contribute to network-related projects, such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, or SD-WAN rollouts, ensuring technical deliverables are met on time;
· This role may be required to participate in an on-call rotation to support incident management processes as a member of the global Network engineering team;
· Some (limited) non-standard hours may be required to support Network changes as part of the change management process and approved windows; and
· Some (limited) travel may be required for team meetings or other reasons.
Proficiencies:
· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities;
· Superior communication skills, capable of translating technical details for diverse audiences;
· Proven ability to collaborate on complex initiatives;
· Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) for network configuration and management;
· Familiarity with zero-trust security models and network segmentation; and
· Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC 2) as they relate to network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience);
· Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate);
· 6+ years of experience in network engineering;
· Extensive experience with advanced routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and Wi-Fi network design/optimization;
· Proven expertise in managing global WAN environments and SD-WAN deployments;
· Hands-on experience establishing on-premises-to-cloud connectivity and setting up cloud networking in Azure and/or AWS;
· Demonstrated success working in network teams across multiple geographic locations;
· Deep knowledge of routing and switching technologies (e.g., Arista, Brocade, Cisco);
· Experience in SD-WAN platforms (e.g., CATO, Palo Alto, Silver Peak);
· Expertise in QoS configuration and traffic engineering for enterprise networks;
· Familiarity with network security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS) and protocols (e.g., IPsec, SSL);
· Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Scrutinizer); and
· Background in working with vendor relationships with ISPs, hardware providers, or cloud service providers (preferred).
The salary wage range for New York that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $101,500 and a maximum of $147,250 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.

The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
