About the Job
As a Product Marketing Manager at OffSec, you will bridge the gap between product development and market success. You will ensure that our sales, product, and marketing teams are perfectly aligned on the problems our products solve and how to articulate their benefits to the cybersecurity community and enterprise buyers.
You are both analytical and persuasive—capable of running a win/loss data analysis in the morning and crafting a compelling narrative for a new feature launch in the afternoon. You will be the internal voice of the customer, possessing a deep understanding of our market, our competitors, and our buyers' unique needs.
Duties and responsibilities
- Positioning & Messaging: Turn complex product capabilities into clear, differentiated stories for specific target segments. Develop the strategic foundation for how we talk about new products and features.
- Sales Enablement: Empower our revenue teams with concrete execution assets. You will build and maintain battlecards, competitive one-pagers, objection-handling guides, and clear value propositions.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct deep competitor analysis and market research. Track competitor moves, translate them into actionable insights, and know when a market shift requires us to adjust our own positioning.
- Go-to-Market & Launch Execution: Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Demand Gen to manage GTM plans, launch briefs, and launch readiness checklists.
- Content & Demand Generation: Craft compelling content—such as blogs, guides, case studies, and webinar briefs—that attract and educate potential buyers. Set up marketing campaigns to generate buzz and pipeline.
- Customer Advocacy: Run and synthesize customer interviews, surveys, and win/loss analysis. Monitor buyer sentiment and product feedback to accurately represent the customer's voice in rooms they aren't in.
- Strategic Pricing: Define and recommend pricing strategies, understanding willingness to pay, packaging, and how pricing decisions affect both sales velocity and perceived value.
- Partnerships & AR: Leverage channels like analyst relations and industry partnerships to expand our market reach.
What a Day in the Life Looks Like
There is no universal daily template for a PMM at OffSec; your calendar will change based on the launch cycle. One day you may be conducting customer interviews and reviewing call recordings; the next, you may be writing positioning docs, sitting in on sales conversations, or updating battlecards. As release dates approach, your focus will shift heavily toward launch coordination, readiness reviews, and enablement sessions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in product marketing or a closely related strategic marketing role in cybersecurity or B2B SaaS.
- Marketing Automation (Required): Hands-on experience with HubSpot is strictly required for running and measuring demand gen campaigns.
- Industry Knowledge (Recommended): Prior experience in the cybersecurity, EdTech, or B2B SaaS industry is highly recommended.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams independently, hit deadlines, and surface risks before they become problems
- Data & Analytics: Ability to read product usage data, campaign performance, and pipeline metrics to determine what is actually working in the market.
- Storytelling & Empathy: You can turn a technical feature list into a narrative that sales, customers, and the press find compelling, while genuinely understanding the customer's core problems.
- Stakeholder Management: You excel at getting alignment from leadership, sales, and product teams on launch plans and positioning decisions, often without direct authority over them.
- Adaptability: You can smoothly transition between high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution within the same week.
- Curiosity: Genuine curiosity about the cybersecurity space and commitment to building domain expertise over time
Our Tech Stack
While you won't own every tool personally, you should be comfortable working across a stack that includes:
