Role Overview

The Site Engineer is responsible for executing and supervising on-site works, ensuring all activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project standards. This role requires strong capability in interpreting drawings and translating them into accurate site implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and supervise site activities in accordance with approved drawings and technical specifications
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings
  • Ensure all works are carried out as per drawings, BOQ, and project requirements
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors on technical matters
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with standards
  • Prepare and maintain site reports, progress reports, and documentation
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines
  • Assist in material planning and verification based on drawings
  • Support preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant site experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
  • Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
  • Familiarity with BOQ, site measurements, and material take-offs
  • Strong problem-solving and on-site decision-making skills
  • Good communication and coordination abilities

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar tools for drawing review
  • Understanding of shop drawings, layouts, and technical schematics
  • Knowledge of site documentation and reporting processes
  • Familiarity with safety standards and site compliance requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Data Center White Space, structured cabling, or server rack installation would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in sectors such as construction, MEP, infrastructure, or energy
  • Knowledge of local regulations and authority requirements
  • Basic understanding of project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera)
  • Experience handling site inspections and client/consultant interactions
