The base compensation range for the role of Assistant Project Manager posted above is $125,000 to $145,000 annually.

Summary

Balfour Beatty Infrastructure seeks an Assistant Project Manager to work for our team in Rail Region. The Assistant Project Manager works within the Project Management Team which is responsible for planning and overseeing the project, to ensure a timely and cost-effective outcome. This includes budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the project. Ensure the project is constructed in a safe, ethical manner and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects, which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Assistant Project Manager will be involved in.

Essential Functions

  • Coordination of Drawings and Specifications with Trades
  • Prepare RFI and Submittals
  • Prepare Procurement Log to manage and schedule long lead items
  • Coordinate meetings with Trades, Clients, Governing Agencies and Inspectors
  • Manage Trade and Owner Change Orders
  • Schedule work as necessary to meet schedule
  • Manage costs for varying scopes of work

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - Construction or Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in rail, transportation infrastructure or heavy civils enviroments.
  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution
  • 1-year or more of direct supervisory experience
  • Experience with project manager software (Procore, P6, Timberline, etc.)
  • Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s)
