Role Overview
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for reconciling and validating transport and commodity data to ensure accuracy and integrity across records. You will collaborate with operations and IT teams to develop insights, create reports, and implement data visualizations to improve supply chain performance. Additionally, you'll support key stakeholders with actionable analysis and recommendations to optimize processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile and validate transport and commodity/stock data to ensure data integrity across all records.
- Validate shipment details against documentation to confirm accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Collect and maintain reporting documents to ensure consistency and accessibility of data.
- Perform ongoing analysis of supply chain operations data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create and model reports that provide clear, actionable insights based on the data collected, tailored to client and business needs.
- Proactively organize and manage data, ensuring it is accurate, accessible, and up-to-date.
- Support operations teams with technical solutions by providing insights and recommendations derived from data to improve workflows and optimize processes.
- Develop and implement data visualizations to communicate complex data insights in a clear and impactful way, aiding in decision-making and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop, test, and implement new databases and reporting tools, enhancing overall data flow and reporting capabilities.
- Support key business stakeholders by providing detailed data analysis, recommendations, and reporting to optimize supply chain processes.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in Data Analysis, Supply Chain Analytics, Logistics Operations, Trade Support, or a similar analytical role.
- Experience within logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, commodity trading, or trading house environments will be bonus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, including freight forwarders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment and managing day-to-day data-related activities.
- Tech-savvy, analytical, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation.
- Basic knowledge of Python for data analysis or process automation.
- Exposure to CRM systems.
- Understanding of supply chain, logistics, transportation, inventory, or commodity trading processes.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
