Location: Makati - Onsite

Work Schedule: Night Shift ( 9pm - 6am PHT)

We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT team and help ensure the performance, reliability, security, and availability of our Microsoft SQL Server databases across both on-premises and cloud environments.

In this role, you will support critical production databases by monitoring and optimizing database performance, managing backup and recovery processes, maintaining data integrity, and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure performance, reliability, security, and availability.

• Perform database administration activities, including installations, upgrades, backups, recovery, replication, storage, and capacity management.

• Monitor and optimize database performance and troubleshoot technical and production issues.

• Support database design, data structures, user access, security, and data integrity.

• Collaborate with developers, IT teams, users, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and support system changes.

• Create SQL queries and reports, support testing and release activities, and participate in Agile/Scrum processes.

• Support Azure SQL services and database deployments, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.

• Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams to support production operations.

• Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, licensing requirements, and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree in IT/Computer Science or combination of education and relevant work experience.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases in a production environment.

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL querying, and Windows operating systems including performance monitoring and troubleshooting, backup, restore, and recovery, database maintenance and patching, security, user access, and permissions, and production support and troubleshooting

• Strong T-SQL, stored procedure, and database scripting skills.

• Knowledge of database HA/DR, replication, failover, and business continuity.

• Familiarity with Windows Server and SQL Server infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience or exposure to Azure SQL and SQL Server on Azure.

• Understanding of database security, access controls, auditing, and data protection.

• Proficiency with SSMS, Azure Portal, Azure Monitor, or similar tools.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Experience working in a regulated environment or supporting compliance requirements such as HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI-DSS, or SOC 2.

• Willing and able to work onsite in Makati on a night shift.
