Full description

The role

Valkai is compressing drug and device development timelines from months to days. As our first marketing hire, you'll own how we tell that story to the largest pharma companies in the world.

This is a broad role that starts with narrative. You'll work directly with the founders: building the story our partner conversations run on and presenting new products to the world.

What you'll do

  • Own the narrative: Set the positioning and messaging for the Valkai platform and every product in it, grounded in what customers actually need.
  • Build the messaging toolkit: Create and maintain the product decks, demos, one-pagers, and competitive content that express the core messaging of our platform, and keep them sharp as the product changes.
  • Understand how the work gets done: Learn how life sciences teams do their jobs today, and turn that into messaging that speaks their language.
  • Launch and drive adoption: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales to take releases to market, and stay on them after launch day, until usage and revenue follow.
  • Know the market: Run customer and competitive research, and feed what you learn back into roadmap, pricing, and packaging decisions.

What we are looking for

  • Sharp storytellers: You write clearly and persuasively, and you can simultaneously hold your own in front of a researcher, a trials operations lead, and a C-suite buyer.
  • Builders who own outcomes: You measure yourself on pipeline, adoption, and win rates, not on the number of assets you shipped.
  • Technically curious: You go deep enough with engineers and customers to find the real differentiation, rather than repeating what the demo shows.
  • Operators who build systems: You think in process and repeatable frameworks, and you're comfortable creating structure where none exists yet.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: You turn loose goals into concrete plans and create measurable impact without waiting to be told how.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience at high-growth B2B SaaS companies.
  • Experience marketing to enterprise buyers, ideally in regulated or high-stakes industries.
  • Hands-on experience marketing AI-native products, and daily use of tools like Claude and ChatGPT in your own work.
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or other domains requiring complex systems thinking.
  • A track record of launches that moved the business, not just the launch calendar.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents.
  • Generous PTO policy.
  • Paid parental leave.
