Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Automation Developer to design, build, and enhance scalable test automation solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Dataverse applications. This role will focus on developing UI, API, and data-driven automation frameworks using Python, Playwright, Pytest, and BDD practices, while working closely with QA, Development, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving software quality, delivery speed, and traceability across enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable automation frameworks using Python, Playwright, and Pytest.

• Develop and maintain BDD test suites using Gherkin feature files and reusable Python step definitions.

• Automate testing for Microsoft Dynamics 365 model-driven applications, including forms, navigation, business rules, workflows, and field validations.

• Build UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automated validation scenarios for D365 and Dataverse solutions.

• Develop and maintain API automation for REST, OData, and Dataverse endpoints.

• Create and execute data-driven test automation using JSON-based test data, entity mappings, and environment-specific configurations.

• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including execution scheduling, tagging, reporting, and analytics.

• Analyze automation failures, troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams on resolution.

• Contribute to automation standards, reusable libraries, documentation, code reviews, and overall test strategy.

• Partner with QA, Development, Business, and DevOps teams to continuously improve automation capabilities and delivery processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software test automation with strong hands-on Python development expertise.

• Proven experience building automation frameworks using Python, Playwright, and Pytest.

• Strong experience implementing BDD automation using Gherkin/Cucumber-style feature files and Python step definitions.

• Experience automating web applications, including complex forms, business workflows, navigation, and field validation scenarios.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 model-driven applications and/or Dataverse.

• Experience testing REST APIs and OData services, including authentication, request/response validation, and error handling.

• Strong understanding of JSON, data-driven testing, test data management, and multi-environment configuration.

• Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of Git source control, pull requests, branching strategies, and code review practices.

• Strong understanding of UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Ability to troubleshoot automation failures, analyze logs, and communicate technical issues effectively.

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.
