The Security Engineer is responsible for monitoring, investigating, and responding to security events and vulnerabilities across company systems and networks. Responsibilities include routine security tasks such as reviewing alerts, analyzing logs, supporting incident response activities, and assisting with vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts. Maintaining and optimizing cybersecurity tools, identifying potential risks, supporting secure system and application practices, and contributing to administrative tasks such as SOP/Runbook documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with operational, development, and deployment teams to identify and investigate potential and actual information security violations. Performs follow‑up investigations and produces clear written reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Researches, tests, and implements new security solutions to address future and current threats supported by effective change management.
  • Develops, maintains, and supports processes to support the IT Security Framework such as incident management and risk management.
  • Performs vulnerability scanning, prioritize risk of vulnerabilities and tracks remediation performed internally and externally.
  • Responds to and investigates security incidents. Provides incident reports as part of the incident process.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, and/or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in IT Security
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Cloud Technologies
  • Experience in vulnerability management and penetration testing
  • Experience in managing SIEM solutions and analyze log streams
  • Experience in endpoint security solutions
  • Experience in Security incident management and reporting
  • Sec+, CySA+, SecurityX (CASP+), or GCIH preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis and organizing skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $79,646.00 to $99,557.00 Annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
