Full description
About Us: Heyo is a dynamic and innovative full service agency that specializes in creating cutting-edge design and development. We're on a mission to revolutionize user experiences through intuitive and responsive web interfaces. Join our talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers to help us build the future of web.
Position Overview: We're looking for a Product Manager to be the primary interface between our clients and the rest of the team. You'll own the product side of each engagement, from the first conversation about what a client needs through delivery of the finished feature. Most of our work starts at 0 and gets to 1, so you'll spend a lot of time turning fuzzy goals into concrete, buildable specs.
You won't be doing it alone. You'll work day to day with a Project Manager who owns timelines and delivery logistics, so you can stay focused on the what and the why. An Engineering Manager will back you up on technical feasibility and architecture decisions, and you'll build alongside our engineers and designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact between clients and our design and engineering teams
- Lead client conversations: gather requirements, align on goals, demo work in progress, and manage expectations when priorities compete
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specs that engineers can build from without guesswork
- Prioritize the backlog and guide trade-off decisions, partnering with your Project Manager on timelines and dependencies
- Work closely with our engineers and designers to take features from 0 to 1
- Spot product and technical risks early and work through them with the Engineering Manager and the team
- Define and track product metrics so we can show clients what's working and recommend what to do next
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years in product management or a related role
- You've taken a product, or a major feature, from 0 to 1
- Comfortable leading client conversations and translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience managing client expectations and juggling competing priorities
- You use data to make decisions and can define the metrics that matter for a product
- User focused, with enough technical fluency to weigh engineering trade-offs
- Experience in agile environments with distributed teams
- You make strong use of AI tooling in your day-to-day work
- Proficiency with Linear (what we use) or Jira
- Agency or consultancy experience is a plus, but not required
Heyo offers a variety of benefits, including:
- Unlimited paid time off
- Flexible schedule (make up your time for important personal, life, family events). We take work / life balance seriously!
- 4 day client work weeks. We spend Friday's working on internal needs and personal betterment.
- You'll get in trouble if we catch you working nights and weekends. For reals.
- 1 week paid holiday rest at the end of the year. Over 3 weeks of company holidays throughout the year.
- Health insurance coverage.
- 401k Plan & matching.
- Paid parental, adoption/caregiver leave.
- Education & conference budget.
Everyone is welcome. Heyo is an equal opportunity employer.
