Java Developer - Technical Consultant - Trivandrum

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer / Integration Consultant to drive the successful implementation and integration of our SaaS platform with customer ecosystems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Java backend development, distributed systems, API integrations, and enterprise application architecture, with the ability to collaborate across customers, partners, and internal product teams.

This role requires a blend of solution design, hands-on engineering, SaaS implementation expertise, stakeholder management, and technical leadership to ensure successful customer onboarding and integration delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Integration Delivery

• Partner with customers, implementation teams, and business stakeholders to understand and define integration requirements.

• Design and deliver end-to-end integration solutions for SaaS onboarding projects.

• Define the logical sequence of integration activities and manage technical dependencies.

• Design scalable, secure, and highly available integration architectures.

• Create technical solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and integration documentation.

Engineering & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

• Build and maintain REST APIs and event-driven integrations.

• Develop integrations with enterprise applications, third-party systems, and cloud services.

• Implement messaging and streaming solutions using Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.

• Support Agile delivery processes and contribute to sprint planning and execution.

• Drive continuous improvements in implementation methodologies, documentation, and onboarding experience.

• Work with geographically distributed client and delivery teams.

Production Support & Troubleshooting

• Lead the identification, isolation, troubleshooting, and resolution of integration-related issues.

• Support cloud infrastructure and system components required for seamless integrations.

• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance in production environments.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

• 5-8 years of experience in software engineering, enterprise integrations, or SaaS implementation.

• Experience delivering at least one end-to-end SaaS implementation project.

• Strong hands-on experience in:

• Java

• Spring Boot

• Microservices Architecture

• REST API Development

• SQL Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)

• Apache Kafka

• RabbitMQ

• Experience designing scalable and resilient distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of:

• Data integration concepts and frameworks

• API-led and event-driven architectures

• Network protocols and enterprise integration patterns

• Security concepts in integration technology stacks

• High availability and clustering configurations

• Experience working in Agile environments.

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical business solutions.

• Strong documentation and technical writing skills.

• Experience conducting technical design reviews and code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in SaaS product-based organizations.

• Exposure to Azure Cloud services and cloud-native integration patterns.

• Knowledge of AWS or GCP is an added advantage.

• Hands-on experience with:

• Kafka Brokers setup and configuration

• Kafka Connect Framework

• HTTP Connectors

• REST Connectors

• JMS Connectors

• Experience using architecture and modeling tools to create solution designs.

• Domain experience in:
