Full description

As a Senior Software QA Engineer, you are the quality owner for the platforms that originate, underwrite, close, and service our business purpose loans. You will define how we test, build the automation that makes releases fast and safe, and raise the quality bar across engineering teams working in an environment of high-volume transactions, sensitive borrower and financial data, and third-party integrations.

This is a hands-on role with broad influence. You will write code, shape test strategy, and mentor other engineers and QA team members on building quality in from the start.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the test strategy for web, mobile, API, and back-end systems, covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines so every release is validated automatically.
  • Review requirements and designs early, and partner with product managers and engineers to define acceptance criteria and catch defects before code is written.
  • Test the loan lifecycle end to end, including applications, underwriting rules, pricing, document handling, closing, funding, and servicing, along with the third-party integrations behind them.
  • Verify that systems meet the security, privacy, auditability, and regulatory requirements of the lending industry, including correct handling of PII and financial data.
  • Own release readiness: triage and prioritize defects, run regression and smoke testing, and give clear go or no-go recommendations.
  • Build and manage test data and environments that mirror real lending scenarios without exposing production data.
  • Track quality metrics such as defect escape rate, test coverage, and flaky test rate, and use them to improve how we build and ship.
  • Mentor engineers and QA team members, and promote testing best practices across teams.
