Full description

Veo is a global leader in AI-based sports camera technology. Our innovative, fully automatic camera solution enables sports teams to record matches and training sessions without a camera operator. We’re democratizing the world of sports by granting video analysis for teams on all levels—a privilege that used to be only for the few. More than 40,000 clubs in 90+ countries record their games every week.

But what truly sets us apart? Our people. We’re a diverse group of innovative thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers who believe in delivering an incredible product—and having fun while doing it.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior IT Specialist with deep expertise in networking and network security to own and continuously improve Veo’s office networking foundations across our sites.

This is a hands-on specialist role focused on building reliable, secure, and scalable network infrastructure. You’ll take ownership of our wired and wireless networks, including switching, routing, firewalls, VPN connectivity, network segmentation, and access control. You’ll also operate the security controls that protect our network and endpoints, working closely with internal security stakeholders and external partners when needed.

You’ll have the autonomy to shape how Veo operates its networks and establish the standards, documentation, and practices that will support the company as it grows.

You'll join a close-knit internal IT team and report to the Head of IT. It's a team that trusts each other to own problems end-to-end, shares knowledge openly, and takes real pride in the critical infrastructure work that keeps the rest of Veo running.

What You Will Do

  • Own the day-to-day operation and continued development of Veo’s office networks, including switching, routing, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and site-to-site connectivity.
  • Design and maintain secure network segmentation using VLANs, firewall policies, and access controls that follow least-privilege principles.
  • Monitor and improve wireless coverage, performance, and reliability through thoughtful access-point placement, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Operate and tune network and endpoint security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR/XDR, and support the containment of network- or endpoint-related threats.
  • Manage network access and device onboarding using technologies such as RADIUS, 802.1X, mesh VPN access controls, and device certificates where appropriate.
  • Lead network-related changes and incidents, including planning, communication, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and safe rollback.
  • Work with ISPs, vendors, and specialist contractors while bringing more routine network operations and expertise in-house.
  • Maintain clear network diagrams, configuration records, monitoring, runbooks, and audit-ready documentation across Veo’s offices.
  • Share knowledge with the wider IT team and help establish consistent, secure practices for everyday support and network changes.

What You Could Bring

  • Hands-on experience operating wired and wireless networks across multiple office locations.
  • Solid networking fundamentals across routing, switching, VLANs, firewall policies, VPNs, and Wi-Fi.
  • Practical experience implementing network segmentation and access-control solutions such as RADIUS, 802.1X, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience with network platforms such as Fortinet, Juniper, or Mist, or closely comparable technologies.
  • The ability to plan, optimize, and troubleshoot wireless networks, including access-point placement, coverage, roaming, and configuration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, Wi-Fi, firewall policies, and VPN connectivity.
  • Experience owning business-critical network infrastructure independently or acting as the lead network specialist in a growing organization.
  • A security-minded approach grounded in least privilege, secure defaults, clear standards, and risk reduction.
  • A thoughtful approach to production-impacting changes, including testing, backout planning, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • The ability to take ownership of ambiguous technical problems, make sound decisions, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience with mesh networking, certificate-based device identity, cloud networking, infrastructure as code, SIEM, or network monitoring and detection tooling is a plus.
