Full description
Who are we?
It all starts with the mission: NVISO is here to protect European society from potentially devastating cyber attacks! This means we offer cyber security services to private and governmental organizations to help them better prepare for, prevent, detect and respond to cyber security incidents.
All of this is built on four fundamental values that define who we are: We are Proud, We Break Barriers, We Care and No BS!
Tasks
As the Cyber Security Engineering Business Manager, you drive commercial growth across NVISO's Cyber Security Engineering (CEN) practice globally, spanning both Security Operations Engineering (SOE) and Cyber Security Engineering (CSE) solution lines.
You are the commercial owner of both CEN solution lines: SOC and security operations professional services (SOE) and cloud security engagements (CSE). You combine business development, strategic account management and vendor partnership management. You own the global partnership with Microsoft, NVISO's most strategic technology partner in the CEN space, and act as its primary business-facing interface. You work with Microsoft's account executives, technical specialists and partner development managers to co-develop strategic accounts and unlock cross-border opportunities across Benelux and DACH.
You are the commercial lead on strategic CEN accounts. You shape the multi-year account plan, orchestrate NVISO's specialists across solution lines, and hold the customer relationship at CxO level. Your focus is turning first engagements into multi-year, cross-solution-line commitments rather than one-off wins.
Beyond accounts, you help shape the CEN service portfolio itself. The portfolio is under active development and needs commercial direction: what to productize, how to bundle, how to position against Microsoft's own stack. Typical responsibilities include:
- Owning business development end-to-end for both CEN solution lines: SOC and security operations professional services (SOE) and cloud security engagements (CSE), including pipeline generation, qualification and conversion;
- Owning the global Microsoft partnership: joint account planning, co-sell registration, and alignment with Microsoft's segment sellers across regions;
- Pursuing relevant Microsoft specialization designations and managing funded engagement mechanics on behalf of NVISO;
- Leading strategic accounts end-to-end, from initial engagement through multi-year expansion across solution lines;
- Converting project work into recurring managed services as a deliberate commercial motion, not a coincidence of good delivery;
- Shaping the CEN service portfolio in partnership with practice and delivery leadership, based on market signal and Microsoft's evolving stack;
- Owning SOWs, RFP responses and complex tender processes across both SOE and CSE, including scoping, pricing, risk allocation and partner-program funding. You have a strong foundation of the service principles, and are able to work efficiently with in-house experts when needed;
- Representing NVISO externally at CxO level with customers, at partner level with Microsoft, and at industry level in relevant forums;
- Aligning cross-functionally with delivery, marketing, alliances and finance so commitments made to customers and to Microsoft are deliverable;
- Coaching and mentoring consultants and managers involved in strategic pursuits, raising the commercial acumen across CEN;
- Tracking market trends, competitor moves and Microsoft's roadmap, translating them into actionable commercial plays for the practice;
- Bringing market intelligence back into the organization to influence what NVISO builds next in the CEN portfolio.
You are commercially driven, comfortable at CxO level, and equally at home in a Microsoft joint account planning session as in a customer boardroom. You treat partnership management as a discipline, not a byproduct of doing good work.
Requirements
- You hold citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states or the Austrian citizenship;
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (business, engineering, information security, or equivalent professional experience);
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in cyber security or adjacent technology consulting;
- At least 5 years in business development, sales, alliance management or strategic account management within cyber security or IT services;
- Demonstrable track record of closing multi-year engagements across both SOC professional services and cloud security, including hands-on ownership of SOWs, RFP responses and complex tenders;
- Deep working knowledge of the Microsoft partner ecosystem: co-sell mechanics, specialization designations, MISA, partner incentive programs and funded engagements;
- Practical understanding of Azure consumption dynamics and how they shape partner incentives and customer buying behaviour;
- Established relationships within Microsoft's field sales organization, ideally spanning Benelux and DACH;
- Strong grasp of the modern Microsoft security stack (Sentinel, Defender XDR, Purview, Entra) sufficient to shape commercial conversations with CISOs;
- Experience contributing to service portfolio decisions rather than only selling what already exists;
- Comfort operating in a matrixed environment where success depends on aligning delivery, marketing and alliance stakeholders;
- Fluent business English; working proficiency in Dutch, French or German is a strong asset given the CEN geographical footprint.
Soft skills
- Commercially opinionated, with the ability to take and defend a position under pressure from customers, partners and internal stakeholders;
- Strong executive presence and credibility at CISO, CIO and Managing Partner level;
- Genuine curiosity about the customer's business, not just their security posture;
- Ability to hold two agendas at once: what is right for the customer, and what is right for NVISO's commercial position with Microsoft;
- Discipline to convert conversations into pipeline, and pipeline into recurring revenue, rather than one-off wins;
- Comfort with ambiguity, including operating on a service portfolio that is still forming;
- Pragmatic and outcome-oriented, with a bias toward closing rather than deliberating;
- Positive, team- and mission-oriented attitude aligned with NVISO's values (Proud, Break Barriers, Care, No BS).
