The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-caliber Network Engineer to provide strategic technical guidance and advanced support across Navitas' global WAN, LAN, Security, and VoIP domains.
Reporting directly to the Global Network Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving network automation, executing major infrastructure upgrades, and shaping our future technology roadmaps. This position offers a strong blend of technical execution, vendor collaboration and team mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Act as an escalation point for the network team; monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the global enterprise WAN, LAN, Security, and VoIP environments.
- Projects & Upgrades: Contribute to major network deployments, site expansions, hardware refreshes, and architecture enhancements.
- Network Design & Strategy: Influence technology roadmaps, evaluate emerging technologies, and collaborate with business leaders and external vendors.
- Automation & Continual Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for network automation using Python scripting and Ansible playbooks to streamline manual tasks, introduce predictable, code-driven, repeatable changes, and improve service delivery. Standardize global configurations through programmatic templating to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual configuration errors.
- Mentorship: Support and mentor junior team members while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Documentation: Maintain high-quality IT network diagrams, deployment standards, and procedural knowledge-base resources.
What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative, forward-thinking technical leader who thrives in complex enterprise environments.
Certifications: Cisco CCNP/CCIE certification, or equivalent enterprise-level industry experience.
Routing & Switching: Advanced knowledge of enterprise LAN/WLAN, VLANs, L2/L3 switching, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
Firewall & Edge Security: Deep hands-on experience with Palo Alto / Panorama, alongside proficiency in Cisco ISE, Cisco Secure Access and VPN technologies (IPSec, DMVPN, SSLVPN).
Programming Languages: Strong hands-on expertise in Ansible & Python (using libraries like Netmiko, NAPALM).
Data Formats: Experience with JSON, YAML, and XML for data serialization.
Linux experience
API Experience: Demonstrated experience consuming REST APIs and leveraging NETCONF/YANG for automated network management.
Version Control: DevOps
CI / CD - Automation management - Jenkins
Cloud Networks: Familiarity with cloud networking concepts in AWS & Azure.
Soft Skills: Proven ability to mentor technical staff, manage stakeholders, and bridge technical solutions with business goals.
Flexibility: Willingness to work outside standard hours
